Tourisme Mauricie is always on the lookout for funds and grants available to tourism businesses in the region. Whether municipal, provincial, or federal programs, our goal is to find the most relevant opportunities for your business.

Grants and funds from Tourisme Mauricie 👇
The financial partnership agreement provides funding to support a business partnership, activity, event, or project, in exchange for visibility or other promotional value.
Tourisme Mauricie can provide up to $7,000 per partnership agreement, based on the score obtained in the evaluation grid.

The Regional Partnership and Digital Transformation Agreement for Tourism 2022–2025 (EPRTNT22-25) reflects the joint commitment of the Ministry of Tourism (MTO) and Tourisme Mauricie to support and guide tourism businesses in Mauricie with their development and growth, while focusing on responsible and sustainable practices.

Managed by Investissement Québec on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism, the Programme d’appui au développement des attraits touristiques (PADAT) offers flexible and advantageous financial solutions.

Components of the program
The program provides eligibility criteria and terms according to the following two streams:
Stream 1: Support for the development of tourist attractions
General objectives are:
- Stimulate private investment to renew Quebec’s tourism offering
- Encourage business succession in the tourism sector
- Support the growth, development, and sustainability of tourism businesses
- Boost regional economies through increased visitors and revenues
- Strengthen community vitality with a sustainable, diverse, and innovative tourism offer
Stream 2: Financing fund for hotel establishments
General objectives are:
- Improve hotel infrastructure and add new tourist accommodation units
- More specifically, this includes:
- Renovations, upgrades to accommodation units, meeting or conference rooms, public areas (lobbies, lounges, washrooms, etc.), and exterior improvements (roofs, siding, doors, windows, etc.)
- More specifically, this includes:
- Add hotel infrastructure.

The Fond Écoleader aims to support businesses that want to hire experts to adopt eco-responsible business practices and prepare for clean technology adoption.
End date: September 30, 2026
Eligible businesses:
- Be a for-profit company or a social economy enterprise
- Have a commercial establishment in Québec
Non-eligible businesses: Self-employed workers, co-ownership syndicates, financial service companies
Eligibility criteria: Support for the implementation of environmentally responsible business practices and support for the adoption of clean technologies.

Targeted support for implementation
Stream 1 – Business: Designed to help businesses carry out projects that address their specific environmental challenges.
For reference, here are some sectors covered by clean technologies:
- Non-hazardous waste management
- Transportation technologies
- Bioproduct production
- Air pollution and exhaust treatment
- Industrial and wastewater management
- Reduction, recycling, and treatment of drinking water
- Groundwater, surface water, and leachate treatment
- Soil, sediment, and sludge treatment
- Clean energy and bioenergy production
- Energy efficiency technologies
- Energy storage and smart grids
Eligible expenses: Professional fees, travel costs, training expenses, material costs, and communication costs.
Application deadline: Ongoing, final deadline September 30, 2026. Projects must be completed by January 31, 2027.
The International Business Tourism Fund 2023–2026 aims to attract large-scale international business events to Québec, increase the economic benefits of business tourism for the vitality of the regions, highlight the economic and tourism value of the regions, raise Québec’s profile abroad, and support the development of Québec’s centres of excellence, innovation zones, and industry clusters.
Eligible organizations: NPOs, cooperatives, municipal entities, communities, organizations, businesses, and Indigenous nations. Must be active in attracting events. Must aim to bring an international business event to Québec.
Non-eligible organizations: Service providers such as accommodation, convention centres, and event agencies (although they may participate as partners).
Supported activity sector: International business tourism.
Eligible events: Conventions, trade shows, corporate meetings.
Eligibility criteria: Must be a large-scale international business event and must take place in Québec.
Program streams
Stream 1: Support for business plans and bid books intended to attract an eligible international business event to Québec.
Eligible expenses: Consulting, writing, translation, editing, photo research, graphic design and layout, research, legal fees, etc.
Stream 2: Support for prospecting and familiarization activities to attract an eligible international business event to Québec.
Eligible expenses: Travel costs (transportation, accommodation, meals), registration fees for events, fees for external experts, and expenses necessary for prospecting or preliminary event development.
Funding (Streams 1–2): Grant, maximum financial assistance rate up to 100%.
Stream 3: Support for financial incentives to stimulate the attraction of large-scale international business events. This incentive is meant to convince decision-makers to choose Québec as their host destination.
Eligible expenses: Incentives calculated according to specific parameters.

The Virage Durable program by Événement Attraction Québec supports the implementation of innovative projects that encourage the use of active and public transportation during festivals and tourism events. Its aim is to implement projects that will encourage the public to rely more on active and public transportation during festivals and tourism events.
Eligible organizations: NPOs, cooperatives, municipal entities, communities, organizations, businesses, and Indigenous nations.
Eligibility criteria: Must take place in Québec, with a minimum of two days of programming, including a theme and program of activities, and must have held at least one prior edition.
Program streams
Stream 1.1: Pilot or infrastructure projects on site.
Projects aimed at fully or partially reducing nuisances caused by festivals or events. Increase accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Allow municipalities to benefit from improvements after the events.
Funding: Grant, maximum financial assistance rate of 50%.
Stream 1.2: Awareness and promotion projects.
Develop awareness and promotional actions for active and public transportation. Implement incentives to use active and public transportation.
Eligible expenses: Equipment rental, machinery, material acquisition, supplies, essential infrastructure, development expenses, urban furniture costs, creation of signage tools, and professional fees.
Examples of projects: route, schedule, or transit service changes for the festival duration; reduced transit fares; communication campaign to promote transportation measures; creation of new signage; creation of a new cycling path; creation of a pedestrian pathway for safe walking access; awareness campaign on using active and public transportation.
Application deadlines: Ongoing, until funds are exhausted.

The Tourism Innovation Program aims to enable the implementation of innovative projects in tourism businesses. It accelerates the completion of structuring projects to enhance the quality of tourism offerings, strengthens connections between tourism businesses and innovative companies, and promotes collaborative projects.
Funds available: $10 million
Program end date: March 31, 2026
Eligibility criteria:
- Regional and sectoral tourism associations (ATR and ATS), privileged partners of the Ministry of Tourism (MTO)
- Tourism industry businesses
- Organizations active in innovation
- Economic development organizations
- Any other organizations whose activities align with the program’s objectives
Program streams
Stream 1: Call for proposals to support the development of innovative solutions.
Calls for proposals will be launched to encourage the development of solutions addressing specific needs and challenges identified by tourism stakeholders or MTO partners.
Eligibility criteria: Projects must meet the following:
- Be collaborative (involving more than one region, company, or sector).
- Have a lead organization (ATS, ATR, or another impartial representative organization) responsible for managing the project, including planning, pilots, and implementation.
- Propose an innovative solution.
Funding: Selected projects can receive up to $75,000 for challenge-based calls and $150,000 for solution-based calls.
Stream 2: Support for project implementation and development of innovative businesses.
Selected innovative companies will receive guidance and a lump sum to stimulate growth. Additional funding may be provided to adapt their solution to targeted tourism businesses.
Funding: Advisory support valued at $45,000 per company.
- Project financing: Support for implementing innovative individual or collective projects, while reducing perceived risks in adopting new practices. Maximum project funding of $90,000. Companies must contribute 50% of project costs.
Stream 3: Networking with regional innovation organizations.
MT Lab will organize networking and advisory activities to support organizations in fostering an innovation culture in the tourism sector and adopting innovative solutions.
Funding type: Grant.

The Tourism establishments accessibility program (Programme accessibilité des établissements touristiques – PAET) provides financial support to help accommodation establishments, tourist attractions, certain services, and information centres improve or transform their infrastructure to make them accessible to people with disabilities.
