A massive year-round playground, La Tuque (named after a nearby mountain shaped like a tuqueâthough the shape changed when a dam was built) is often described as a âforest city.â Getting there is an adventure in itself: the scenic route 155, follows the Saint-Maurice River for more than 100 kilometres, setting the tone for the entire trip.
True to its slogan, âAuthentic inside and outâ (which fits like a glove đ§€), La Tuque stands out not only for the variety of activities available but also for the genuine warmth of its people.
The territory includes several distinct communities, such as Lac-Ădouard (home to one of QuĂ©becâs most iconic outfitters), La Bostonnais, Wemotaci (famous for its annual pow-wow), Opitciwan, La Croche, Parent, Clova, Casey, Carignan, and RiviĂšre-aux-Rats.
