The mission of the Fédération québécoise de la montagne et de l'escalade (FQME), a non-profit organization, is to develop and promote safe and responsible climbing and outdoor activities in the mountains, for everyone and at all levels, including rock, ice, snow and mixed climbing, via ferrata, mountain skiing and mountaineering, as well as climbing on artificial climbing structures (SAE), pursued as a leisure activity or in sporting competition within the province of Quebec.
